Receiving personal interaction from an organisation can install a feeling of loyalty within followers and potential customers and by doing this may provide a steady flow of revenue for a particular organisation. Social media advertising, if implemented correctly, can be a highly cost-effective way to expand reach; meaning an organisation can deliver content in front of a huge audience at a very low cost. Examples of successful social media campaigns include Coca Cola’s #ShareaCoke campaign started in Australia in 2011 and expanded to more than 50 countries before going viral in the United States during the summer of 2014.
